About The Project

Trading Terminal is a high-performance, institutional-grade analytics and trading platform designed for the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). It bridges the gap between complex financial data and actionable insights, providing investors with real-time market pulse, fundamental analysis, and portfolio tracking in one cohesive interface.

Projects Challenge

The primary challenge was handling high-frequency market data updates without compromising the application's performance. Traders demand millisecond-latency for price updates, and rendering complex interactive charts with thousands of data points in real-time can cause severe UI bottlenecks. Additionally, simplifying the dense financial information for retail investors without stripping away the depth needed by professionals required a delicate UX balance.

The Solution

I architected a highly optimized frontend using React and WebSockets for dedicated bi-directional data streaming, ensuring price updates happen instantaneously. For charting, I implemented D3.js and lightweight canvas rendering to handle high-volume data visualization smoothly. The UI was designed with a modular "workspace" approach, allowing users to customize their dashboard layouts based on their trading style—separating critical execution tools from analytical widgets.
